Freight Broker Agent

HALO Transport is currently seeking independent broker agents with a strong desire to excel in the challenging and lucrative transportation industry. Position responsibilities include locating and matching shippers with qualified motor truck carriers in order to arrange for the transportation of freight by truck. This position is commission based with unlimited income potential.

Job Description:

As an exclusive agent for HALO Transport, successful candidates will be responsible for all direct outside sales to prospective shipper customers, establishing and maintaining those client accounts. Negotiating best rates with qualified motor carriers for the transportation of client freight across the 48 states as well as Canada and Mexico. Verifying and maintaining customer and carrier information in the company software system. All setup and maintenance costs of agents’ home office including dedicated phone, fax and internet connection as well as internet based load posting services. Position reports directly to the president of the company.

Compensation:

This a 100% commission based position with compensation tied directly to agent performance. Initial commission rates are determined by industry experience level and client/carrier following.

HALO Transport provides marketing and general business support, federal transportation authority and bond, liability and cargo insurance, industry leading internet based software, as well as all billing, A/R, A/P and accounting functions.

Job Requirements:

Education: College degree desired but not required. High School diploma required.
Experience: Transportation industry experience a plus but we will train the right person.

Commission Rate: Dependent upon experience
